Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Highpointe Ministries based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. He is Holy, therefore He is perfect in love, righteousness and justice. He is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin, yet they chose to disobey God which severed their relationship with God. Sin entered the world and has passed on to every human since.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came into the world, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sin and rose the third day. It is through His work that salvation has been offered to mankind. We are saved by believing in our heart in His life, death and resurrection and through the confession of our sins. This is the only means of Salvation offered to humanity.
Pentecost
We are a Pentecostal church by doctrine and experience. We believe that after Salvation, it is the will of God for us to be filled with the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. We believe the infilling and indwelling of the Holy Ghost is God's will for every believer.
Christian life
We believe as we grow in the "grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ" that He will lead us into a sanctified life. A Christian life is one of power and victory over sin and service to the Kingdom of God.
The Church
The church is God's representation on earth. We are the bride of Christ and are to be His hands extended in our community and our world. We are to be friendly, vibrant and spirit-filled.
Rapture of the church
We believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His bride.
