When God Says They're Mine - Tanner Cross
When God says they’re mine, we want them one more day
One more minute, another moment, please don’t go away
Sometimes it’s without warning, they’re taken from us all
Our family, friends, or colleagues, some answered to that call
Daddy’s been there every day, will lay his head to rest
A Mother given everything to make her home the best,
Grandparents shined with wisdom, they showed us love and faith
Passed through this life so fast you see, we’ll no longer see their face
A child gone on too soon, now an angel in the sky
Don’t fret, don’t fear, don’t cry my friend, we’ll see them by and by
Pilgrims were they in this world, now feel no fear or pain
Their tears have stopped, the pain was gone, when they stepped on that train
God is that great Conductor, that makes His stops for them
They’ll reach that final station and sing with Him a hymn
God gives to us, He takes from us, sometimes it’s in His time
God reaches out, and takes their hand when God says they are mine
